It is with a heavy heart that we wish to inform our customers that Dews Meadow Farm Shop will not be taking any Christmas orders this year.
As some of you may already be aware, we have been struggling with staff shortages, combined with medical issues within the family, and we do not feel that we would be able to provide the level of service that is required to meet the standards we strive to give to each and every one of our customers.
With some of our regular customers having shopped with us right from the very beginning- over 30 years ago, this is not a decision that has been taken lightly. With so many unexpected changes happening in such quick succession over the past few weeks, we wanted to announce the news as soon as possible to ensure that we gave our customers enough notice to be able to make alternative arrangements for their Christmas planning.
We will continue to trade for the next month as usual and then, at a date yet to be confirmed in November, we will be closing the doors of Dews Meadow Farm Shop for all trade indefinitely.
We will make sure we let everyone know when this day will be in advanced, and in the meantime, we are currently operating as normal. As sad as this day will be, it’s not all gloom and doom- as although the farm shop will no longer be open, we will still be running our farm in Charney Bassett, raising, and breeding our wonderful variety of livestock and are in the very early stages of exploring many new innovative and exciting plans for the future. We very much hope that for many this is only goodbye for now and that once we have had time to assess what is viable, we will be able keep everyone updated through the wonderful Hanney News and social media.
As you may or may not have seen in the media over the past few years, it hasn’t been easy for small, independent farms and businesses to survive. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for supporting us. Our customers have always been much more than just customers to us- our customers have always been made up from a community of friends and neighbours, old and new, and it has been a pleasure to work with all of you over the years.
We thank you all for your continued support at this time.
